World's best-known Heidelberg
The short distance to Heidelberg, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany is what makes Leimen so special. Heidelberg connects tradition and innovation like no other German city.
Shopping, Food & Nightlife
The shopping paradise is located in the streets between Bismarckplatz and Marktplatz, parallel to the river Neckar. Next to the main shopping street you can find a lot of small streets with a huge offer of different things. In the main road you can find the largest pedestrian zone of Germany which is also one of the most beautiful pedestrian zones in Europe with all internationally known cafes, bistros, restaurants and brands.
If you want to finish your day with a drink in a bar you can choose from a huge variety of possibilities. If you prefer a little more action you should visit one of the clubs in Heidelberg. Of course you can also visit one of the many outdoor restaurants in Heidelberg. There’s something for everybody.

Events
There is a program for every generation in Heidelberg with its many cinemas, museums and theatres. All year round, Heidelberg invites you to various festivities: In July/August you can for example visit the “Schlossfestspiele” with outdoor concerts and theatre performances. If you stay in Heidelberg during the winter, the sparkling old town will invite you to some mulled wine and more than 140 booths offer tasty treats and souvenirs – the ideal place for Christmas shopping.
Apart from this you can also do something good for your body, for example at the LBS Cup beach volleyball (May), the SAS half-marathon Heidelberg (April) or the international wheel chair marathon (June). Something for everyone.
